After your purchase, use the HSA/FSA reimbursement link in your order confirmation to complete the qualification process. A Letter of Medical Necessity, or LMN, is a document issued by an independent, licensed clinician confirming that a purchase is medically necessary for a diagnosed or documented health condition. This documentation supports the compliant use of HSA/FSA funds for health and wellness products that are not automatically eligible. Truemed’s clinician network handles the qualification and LMN process. You do not need to obtain documentation from your own healthcare provider. Each LMN is valid for 12 months from its date of issue, although qualification is not guaranteed and depends on your individual health circumstances and the clinician’s assessment.

Most Letters of Medical Necessity are issued within a few hours after you complete the clinical intake form, although the review process can take up to one or two business days.Once issued, your LMN will be available in your Truemed dashboard.
